The topic is not so much controversial and anybody would say both are required in your path to success but when to work hard and when to work smart that is the tricky part and it makes all the difference between success and failure.
As I remember myself back in the day I preferred to work smart and hardly did any hard work but whenever I was working smartly I put a lot of hard work in that smartness. I know this is oxymoron language and anybody would say now " कहना क्या चाहते हो भाई ?" so let me share you my experience. Back in my memorable training days in Infy Mysore one of the session was how to work smart and he said when client gives requirement first search if the solution is already there then don't waste your time to do something which is already done. Hard work is needed when you are doing something novel and unique. So apply this funda in your day to day life also and see how smartly you can achieve what you are aiming for.
Still have some doubts then refer these lines: " Choose the Lazy person to do the hardest work and he will smartly find the easiest way to complete it."
